History

Gollie History & Lineage

Unfortunately, due to the lack of documentation when breeding designer dogs, not much is known about the Gollie. What is known, is that these lovable pups are a cross of Collies and Golden Retrievers, possessing traits and health characteristics similar to each.

Gollie Medical Challenges

Though most of these dogs live full lives without serious issues, though some dogs may still experience issues such as cataracts, joint dysplasia, epilepsy, stomach torsion and arthritis. Annual checkups with your veterinarian will play a major role in helping you to better understand and ensure the health and wellbeing of your Gollie. Your pup will be grateful for all the loving care that you provide for them, and they will be sure to find plenty of ways to show it.

Why RuffChamp?

The name RuffChamp comes from a simple, yet profound idea: the journey we all go through—from rough to champ.

Just as puppies grow into champions if trained correctly, we want to celebrate and find meaning in that journey for each of us, and, of course, our four-legged BFFs!

We have the unique opportunity to grin and grow—together and share joy along the way.

This site is for dog owners and lovers—moms and dads and brothers and sisters…and every other member of the extended family. With your help and support, it will become the #1 trusted resource for dog owners and a place for us to learn, laugh and love everything about our dogs and how they inspire us.

Together, we’ll create those uplifting “championship moments” along the way.
