Chion Personality

Chions are lively and energetic dogs with a lot of character in a little package. These dogs form strong bonds with their owners, and prefer to spend most of their time with them. Though they can be very well behaved if properly trained and socialized, they can be somewhat stubborn at first, and might become jealous or act up around strangers. Although with the proper guidance as they grow, most of these dogs are easy tempered and joyful.

History

Chion History & Lineage

Like most modern crossbreeds, little is known of the origins of the Chion, and the breed remains very rare. They are known, however, to be a hybrid of Chihuahua and Papillon.

Chion Medical Challenges

The Chion is a predominantly healthy breed, though some of these dogs have been known to experience issues such as joint dysplasia, patellar luxation, and dental issues. Most of these dogs live full lives without any serious health issues. Annual checkups with your veterinarian will play an important role in helping you to better understand and ensure the health of your Chion. Always be sure to contact your vet right away if you have any serious concern about the health and wellbeing of your dog. Your pup will be grateful for all the loving care that your provide for them, and they will be sure to find plenty of ways to show it that will continue to bring you smiles and joy.

Why RuffChamp?

The name RuffChamp comes from a simple, yet profound idea: the journey we all go through—from rough to champ.

Just as puppies grow into champions if trained correctly, we want to celebrate and find meaning in that journey for each of us, and, of course, our four-legged BFFs!

We have the unique opportunity to grin and grow—together and share joy along the way.

This site is for dog owners and lovers—moms and dads and brothers and sisters…and every other member of the extended family. With your help and support, it will become the #1 trusted resource for dog owners and a place for us to learn, laugh and love everything about our dogs and how they inspire us.

Together, we’ll create those uplifting “championship moments” along the way.
